My name is Cliodhna Davis and I am a BACP registered and trauma-informed integrative counsellor, somatic psychotherapist and Focusing trainer.

My work centres around resilience-building, emotional regulation, resourcing and post-traumatic growth with safety as the foundation.

I combine aspects of: humanistic therapy, psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, play therapy, inner critic / inner child work, children’s focusing, biospirituality, wholebody focusing and relational wholebody focusing, cognitive behavioural therapy, transactional analysis, attachment theory, existential therapy and systems therapy.

Focusing is foundational to my work, providing a gentle and resourcing space to breathe, to choose and to open to the body’s own healing wisdom.

I have experience working with a range of issues including:

  • trauma

  • domestic abuse

  • spiritual abuse

  • systemic oppression

  • PTSD

  • bullying

  • inner child work

  • shame

  • grief

  • chronic illness

  • pain management

  • cancer

  • menopause

  • spirituality

  • parenting

I regularly offer Menopause courses aimed at empowering women to befriend their bodies and find the opportunities inherent in this stage of life. I am also beginning a series of embodiment workshops centred around the rhythm and wisdom of nature based on the Celtic calendar.

I have a small private practice in Whitehead, on the North Coast of Ireland, and work face to face with children and face to face and online with adults.

I love what I do and the people I have the privilege to work with and strive to create a safe, supportive space where the client’s own felt experience and inner resources can be explored on their path to healing.
